The best straps & support, but some design flaws.

Hello!

I’m a first time Sweat & Milk customer and wanted to share some thoughts on the Venice 5 bra. I love several aspects of it, but it's not a bra I'd buy again or recommend to others. Despite that, I feel like it has so much potential to be one of the best postpartum bras out there if a few things were improved on.

I’m currently postpartum, breast feeding, pumping, and trying to get back into working out. Prior to pregnancy I was a 34DD, and am currently between 34DD-36G with the lactation fluctuations. I've tried several brands and styles of bras that are both functional for breast feeding and supportive for working out but have not found the perfect one yet. Sweat & Milk definitely came the closest though. The thick, padded straps and adjustable back are perfect. The material and functional aspects for feeding and pumping were also perfect for me. I felt like this bra was not designed for larger breasts though, which many are, especially when breast feeding. I've attached some photos to show what I mean. The pads in the size large bra are far too small for the bra itself and larger breasts. They slide around within the material, ending up in odd spots. They also indent the breast tissue making it obvious where they are, even showing through shirts. The photos I have show the discrepancy in bra/breast tissue size compared to the small round pad. There's also an excess of fabric in the upper central portion that folds outwards and protrudes from the bra. This can be seen through all of my shirts, making it a bra that I don't want to wear in public and to work.

I'm hoping to try future models of your brand, so I wanted to share some things that could possibly improve them!

An ok sports bra for pumping

An ok sports bra for pumping. Not exited about the first was a little to big on the sides of my chest and the random strips of fabric inside were unnecessary and in the way of taking pumps out.

This bra is almost perfect

This bra is almost perfect. Really disappointed for a high impact sports bra it has removable pads… feels like a cheap swimsuit. And just doesn’t offer enough support even with the correct size. Really want to love this bra but the removable pads really disappointed me for the price.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the pads and support didn't meet your expectations. We appreciate your honesty and hope to improve your experience in the future. Not for large busted moms

This bra is probably the best of the three I tried. Unfortunately it doesn't work for someone with a large bust and smaller band size. Im a 34 DDDD and it just is not tight enough in the band to support me. I can wear it for light activity but there is no way I'd be running or jumping in it.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your honesty and are glad you found it the best among the options you tried. We'll keep your input in mind for future designs. If there's anything else we can do to help, please let us know!

Small band, large bust, just ok for me

I have a small band and large bust (32DDD pre-pregnancy) and have found that the s/m/l size is challenging for me, but this brand has been repeatedly suggested. I have found that it's still difficult! Ended up with a large even though it is gaping around my rib cage because the medium was too tight on my breasts and I didn't want to experience clogged ducts or mastitis. It's been fine. I absolutely could not exercise in it, but walking is fine.

I also am in the process of exchanging a size and it has been over a month since I sent it in and it was received. It has not been "approved" yet though, so I anticipate it could be several more weeks until I get it which is disappointing.

Likely won't order from this brand again!

Hi there,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We understand how tricky it can be to find the right fit with a smaller band and fuller bust, and we appreciate you sharing your experience.

We're really sorry for the delay with your return and exchange. We’ve gone ahead and processed it now, so it should start moving forward shortly.

We’re sorry this didn’t meet your expectations, but we truly appreciate you giving us a try. Please feel free to reach out if we can help with anything else.

Obsessed with all Sweat & Milk bras, but I love this version as well for comfortability to wear during a workout and during my day to day errands

Sports bra

This style is comfortable, but did not fit me as well as the other style I bought. It may have fit if I sized down. I got a medium and would recommend an additional size down. It’s great that the straps are adjustable to help with support, but the top/middle of the material of the sports bra seems to bunch a little and there are weird parts that look lumpy for some reason that shows on the outside of my shirts. This bra is also a little tricky to nurse in one hand. Super easy snap down for the first layer and then the next layer overlaps over the breast so you have to separate material to nurse. More of a moderate support sports bra.
